I have some really big goals for life. You guys all know the biggest: make $10,000 passively each day when I turn 30 years old.
There’s a lot of ways I could work to achieve this goal. I write about a lot of the strategies I do on a daily basis in this case study.
But one thing I do a lot, and haven’t really written about, is focus on those goals. It’s the law of attraction, which says if you focus on something, it’s more likely to happen.
Every morning, I write my goals down in a notebook. The constant repetition (I’ve done this for years) allows me to really focus on those goals and make them happen.
Another strategy I use is to focus on my goals is my morning iPad scroll.
I scroll through Zillow. I look at Zillow to find new property for us to buy for investment.
But, I always end by looking at the multi-million dollar house I want us to buy. Mark Cuban did the same back in the day by driving through the nice neighborhood and imagining what it would be like to live there.
I scroll through websites looking at boats, simply because I love boats and wish I had one.
Is it objectively foolish?
Yes. I’m a young 20’s guy that cannot afford any of that. It’s a waste of time to be shopping for boats online.
But, I swear spending a few minutes scrolling through these houses and boats will help be able to buy one myself.
What I did yesterday to make $10K a day at 30
The current phase of the plan
I’m in Phase #1: The Job & Side Hustle Phase. You can read more about the phases and my plan to get to $10K/a day at 30 here.
Wake up & sleep:
I slept okay, 7 hours and 32 minutes, waking up at 7:34 and going to bed at 11:43.
I have noticed that I’ve fallen into a bit of a pattern of waking up around 7:30 most mornings, regardless of when I go to bed. I woke up around the same time yesterday but I also had gone to bed an hour earlier. For the reseason, my recovery is lower.
I think this lack of good sleep played a pretty big role in me not feeling up to doing a lot of work today.
Exercise
I had that big workout day yesterday, which had me super tired today.
Again, I can’t do too much because it kills my ability to do more work the next day.
Diet
Diet was coffee, curry, and ice cream.
Same as yesterday. I was too tired so I just ate food and didn’t do much.
Absolute crap.

About the Author & The $0-$10K/Day Case Study
Dean’s goal is to create $10,000/day in passive income through entrepreneurship. Too many people write “success porn” that skates over the struggles many face in entrepreneurship. His goal is to create something real that highlights the lack of sleep, disappointment from family, and setbacks you really face in entrepreneurship.

The hope is that this series of posts will inspire someone else out there to make their entrepreneurship dreams happen.
