What I did today
So today has been a good day. I planned to wake up early this morning to get some work in, but I didn’t get around to doing so. I normally jump out of bed, but this morning was a bit of a struggle to get up.
But, I’ve decided I need to start re-framing these post-day debriefs into a more positive light. I’m tired. Bone tired, in fact. I’d love to go to sleep for a few days and not need to worry about anything for a long, long time.
But, I don’t want to focus on that. Instead, I want to focus on the progress I’m making and taking steps in the right direction. I do feel like I’m moving in the right direction. After all, today was over $1,000 on the top line. That’s a fantastic day that I can’t really complain about.
Hell, the average world income is $10,000 per person and I made $1,000 today. There isn’t really much that a sane person can object about. Sure, I’m tired. But life is still good overall.
Here’s the thing though: I know I’m capable of doing better. I know I’m capable of doing more with my life. I want to try to push myself to the limits because I know I’m capable of doing more.
I love The Millionaire Fastlane. I want to build a business that creates the lifestyle I want. Right now, essentially zero of my income is “passive.”
While I disagree with the idea, outside of dividend interest can be 100% passive, I still want to live in a world where I am in control.
I don’t think I’m exactly there yet. But damn, I’ll make it.

My plan for tomorrow
Tomorrow is a similar kind of setup. I’m going to keep working on the same stuff that I was working on today. I have a few small projects on Upwork (mostly $500 or under) projects that are nearing completion.
Once I finish those, I’ll probably devote 100% of my time towards wrapping up the Catalant project successfully.
However, the next steps for me are generating more passive income here. I need a couple grand to come in each month without a crazy work schedule.
I think that ends up being the ebooks for me. I’d love to keep writing a bunch of those and make sure those move in the right direction. I have ~11 books published now, but I should make sure to get that to ~50 by EOY.
In other words, I need to start writing more!

About the Author & The $0-$1K/Day Case Study
Dean’s goal is to create $1,000/day in passive income through entrepreneurship. Too many people write “success porn” that skates over the struggles many face in entrepreneurship
The reason he writes brief posts here every day on Medium is to share his progress and his struggles. You get the unvarnished truth: what worked, what didn’t, and how much farther is there to go.
The hope is that this series of posts will inspire someone else out there to make their entrepreneurship dreams happen.
