What I did today
I’m a very goal-oriented person. I’m the kind of person who wakes up in the morning and writes my goals down as soon as I do. I have a journal that I also write in and a small notebook that I carry in my pocket. The journal is for recording my thoughts, the small notebook is for my daily goals.
It’s not an exaggeration, at all, to say that I live and die by my goals.
The most important one is the third thing I write every day. That goal is how many days until I want to retire. Today, it’s 1,782 days left.
There are 1,782 days until I reach a milestone birthday. On that day, I want to be retired, with passive income. I want to wake up, kiss my amazing wife, play with my kids before sending them to school, and retire.
For that reason, I feel ill, physically ill, when I don’t feel like I’m making progress towards my goals.
I felt like that today. I’m doing things each day, but am I really doing things that move the needle?
Based on how I’m feeling, I might not be. It’s time for some introspection here!

Tomorrow should be an introspection day. I think I really need some introspection at this point regarding if what I’m doing is the best pursuit of my goals, or if another strategy would be better!
