What I did today
Bam!! Today was the wrap up of my big project that’s been going for the past month. Overall, it was a good project but a bit nerve-wracking at the end becuase the outcome wasn’t exactly what the client wanted.
It’s the life-long struggle of consulting. A client hires you to do analysis and always has a hypothesis on what the answer will be. However, if the data the consultant finds tells a different story than what the client wants, sometimes the client is unhappy.
After all, it’s embarrassing for them. The third party consultant knows more about their business then they do. Or, they had an agenda in hiring the consultant, like proving something to their boss, but then they get disproven themselves.
Overall, the project ended up going better than I expected at the conclusion. Overall, I’ll take it!
So, today was spent on a couple of things.
- Website work: I’m launching a new affiliate site today, so working on that is a fun and exciting challenge. I’m working now to get the content for that up and running
- Finding a new client: also important now that I have had an income drop!
- Working on an existing project: I have an existing project going but that one is struggling a bit. I’ll need to help get that one over the finish line
What I’m thinking about today
Scalability and repeatability. I’m 100% okay with paying money, and a fair amount of it, to help scale my websites faster than normal. I’d love a dozen sites at the end of the 2020, optimally making $10K a month off of them
How I’m Feeling Today
I’m tired, but that’s on me. I had pizza for dinner, which always makes me feel lethargic. I need to take care of myself better so I can push myself for this.
