What I did today
Today was focused on website stuff. I was grinding at adding new content to my websites. In fact, I spent well over $500 on new content with different content agencies to help get some words written and up on these sites.
Overall, I think I’ll spend over $5,000 on these sites to get content up. That’s a big investment, but I’m also okay with that investment in order to see if we can start to get some traffic on these sites. 10,000 hits a month on the sites are my goal, because at that point I can onboard an ad-based software that will allow the sites to generate some money.
In that scenario, the sites have monetary value and are technically assets. Then, I can offload them if necessary.
I also emailed a bit with my contacts regarding new consulting work. There are two things in play. One of which is a $7,000 consulting engagement, for which they think I have a 70% chance of winning. I’ll find out Friday if it comes true.
The other is much more of a TBD. We’ll find out on that one!
What I’m thinking about today
I’m thinking about how I just need to do more to of the same. I can look at the calendar for the next few months and forecast out earnings and the hope is to essentially keep this going, then buy some more real estate.
How I’m Feeling Today
Speaking of real estate, today was a bit of a bummer there. We heard from our property manager that a lot of the units we bought aren’t in great shape and need work. We are mentally preparing to spend more money there to ensure that we get the units nicer, get a higher rent price, etc.
