What I did today
Today definitely felt more like an “investment” day. I spent a lot of time working to get things done, but didn’t make a lot to show from it.
For example, I spent a few hours formatting my most recent ebook to put onto KDP. I won’t make a lot from it, it’s actually free for a few days if you want to read it, but it took a couple of hours to do. My hope is that, with ~150 ebooks, there will be some people who follow my writing and read a lot of my books. But, that’s a long time away. So, investment.
Similarly, I spent a lot of time today on projects that won’t lead to an immediate payoff. For example, I’m working on some larger projects for bigger clients that will pay upwards of $1,000. So, the payoff one day might be great, but I won’t make money until then!
I also applied for a bunch of roles, which involved taking a few writing tests to see if I could write well enough for them! We’ll find out if that’s the case!
I’m not sure what is better, a big project that gets me a big payoff once a week, or a lot of small projects that get me paid every day. I’ll try to figure that one out.

How I’m feeling today
Similarly to Day four, I felt okay about the time I’m spending to invest in these bigger clients but I’m still a little nervous about being negative each day.
I’d love to have an easy way to make ~$50/day without much effort so those days wouldn’t be negative. Will see what ends up happening.
My plan for tomorrow
This piece is being published a bit late, so tomorrow is actually already here. Today is going to be a big client day (meaning working for bigger clients), with hopefully getting paid from one of those clients today. Fingers crossed-we’ll see what happens.
