What I did today
Today is literally just getting started. It’s almost 8pm my time in Chicago, but I have a shit ton of work still to do. So, it’s hard to say “what I did today” because I still have a lot to do!
Starting out though, this is a fair list:
- Sold another $5,000 project, with a turn around time of ~2 weeks. It’ll go a long way to ensuring I continue to hit my monthly revenue targets
- Published ~5 articles across two affiliate sites to help ensure that my affiliate sites are alive and growing well
- Did a ton of prep work for one of my existing big private equity clients
- Wrote two quick articles for UpWork clients
It doesn’t sound like a lot, but for some reason, it really felt like a lot.
What I’m thinking about today
I’m thinking about Billions, the show about Bobby Axelrod at Axe Capital. There’s this scene where he’s talking about humanity, and all they do is “Eat, move, shit, repeat.”
I’m starting to feel like that’s the perfect description for entrepreneurship.
It’s not popping bottles in the club, flashing Shopify earnings online, or anything like that.
It’s literally just grinding, day after day, almost in a monotonous way. I’m doing a lot of the same stuff every day as I slowly keeping pushing forward.
Let’s fast-forward a year:
If we fast forward a year, I’m married with a little one. My wife and I will have:
- Roughly 50 apartment units, each paying us ~$100/month: ($5,000/month)
- Roughly 10 affiliate websites, each paying us ~$500/month (~$5,000/month)
At that point, things should be easier, right?
It’s crazy to think about what could get done in just a year. That is a hugely productive year.
The day to day is tiring. I feel pretty crappy. But, I need to keep pushing. I need to keep pushing. I need to keep pushing.
Eat, move, shit, repeat!
How I’m Feeling Today
As you can probably guess from the above section, I know exactly what the numbers look like and how to get there. I’m just a little worn down by it all.
That’s not great, of course, since it’s Monday and I’m not anywhere close to my goal of $10K/day passive income.
That being said, I still have well over 1,500 days until I reach my goal. I can make it happen.
I just can’t let myself get worn down. I need to keep pushing.
Keep pushing, keep pushing, keep pushing.
