What I did today
Today is all about my private equity clients. I’m working for two right now, which means that my days are entirely full. These guys have a lot of urgency to buy companies, which means I have a lot of urgency to tell them whether or not they should do so!
So today, I spent a lot of time building up some documentation for my private equity clients. One client is looking for an overview of a particular market, which means I need to build a powerpoint. The other client is looking for me to interview some prospective customers in order to understand whether or not customers like the solution.
As I’ve talked about before, this work is really interesting and. I enjoy it. But, here’s the bummer: it’s absolutely not scalable. I can’t continue to do lots of projects like this, especially with a little one coming.
For that reason, I’m also working on three new eBooks to share my thoughts on things and hopefully help others. Even better, hopefully that will lead to some additional income for me as well!
Similarly, I also posted a few more articles to my affiliate websites.
What I’m thinking about today
I’m thinking about how best to set up my days. I’ve been staying up incredibly late to get my work done. However, that doesn’t do a lot for my next day because I’m absolutely tired and exhausted the next day.
Optimally, I’d wake up early in the morning to make sure I can get a lot of work done before my day job.
But, that’s been so damn hard to do.
I need to get to a point where that’s a lot easier to do. Which, I think means fewer diligence projects.
This raises the question of the day: should I sacrifice a higher income project in exchange for better quality of life?
I’m under 30, I’m not at my goals yet, and the love of my life is not home tonight.
So, I think it’s time to work all night long if I have to.
How I’m Feeling Today
I’m feeling okay. I’m tired, but that’s normal. I’m a little sleepy, but I’m excited to continue working hard and get things done.
One day at a time. Years to go until I’m 30 years old.
What I made today
Rental Income: $25
Interview Coaching: $0
Affiliate sites (1 site): $0
Today’s pro-rated amount of monthly expenses
My plan for tomorrow
Tomorrow is going to be another day geared towards finishing up my projects. I’ll probably sleep very little, but I’ll get a lot of work done. It’s a trade-off.
