What I did today
So today was an extremely unique day actually. I spent more time on the day job than the side job!
It was fun though. I do like my day job a lot.
But the side income, as you know from this case study, is where I make most of my money. It’s also where I focus this case study on, for that reason. After all, getting to $1K/day in recurring income is difficult to do from a job perspective.
From a side income perspective, it’s actually been surprisingly easy. Sure, my days have kinda sucked. I’m exhausted and have spent way too much time drinking coffee.
But, I do love what I’m doing. It is really fun, in a weird way. It reminds me of when I was in school and cramming for exams. I feel like that again!
Today was mostly spent finishing up some work for my big client. This is actually my last week with them. I’ll wrap up that project Sunday, and that will be the conclusion of my largest project ever: $14K for what is shaping up to be ~20 hours of work. Not too bad at all!
I also had that readout meeting I talked about in yesterday’s case study. That actually went way better than I expected! I think there’s a chance I’ll continue working with that client moving forward, which is always exciting! I also had a great pitch meeting today too for another piece of work!
What I made today
Job: $128
UpWork: $22.50

My plan for tomorrow
Tomorrow is crazy: it doesn’t look like I have any work at all on the docket!
So, I’m going to wake up early and go to the gym! I’ll also come home and workout again.
Man, I can’t wait

About the Author & The $0-$10K/Day Case Study
Dean’s goal is to create $1,000/day in passive income through entrepreneurship. Too many people write “success porn” that skates over the struggles many face in entrepreneurship
The reason he writes brief posts here every day on Medium is to share his progress and his struggles. You get the unvarnished truth: what worked, what didn’t, and how much farther is there to go.
The hope is that this series of posts will inspire someone else out there to make their entrepreneurship dreams happen.
