So here is day two and it’s a scary one too. I looked at the numbers and I think I have about one month of cash in the bank. Scary, right?
So…it’s time to figure out how to make things even better. We need to move this in a positive direction, which means I need to sleep a lot less and work a lot more.
Yes, that’s horrible for my health. It’s a bad idea all around.
But I also don’t know of any other strategy than that.
What I did today
Today, I worked a lot for one of my biggest clients right now. Despite working as hard as I could, I couldn’t accomplish what he is looking for. In other words, I’m going to get fired tomorrow morning.
Unfortunately, he comprised ~80% of my income today so that will be an 80% drop tomorrow.
I also applied to a bunch more jobs on UpWork, but none of those turned into a contract offer.
I planned to get up early this morning and write more on eBooks, but I, unfortunately, didn’t wake up early. Tomorrow, I’ll be more than motivated to get out of bed based on the cashflow crunch and the loss of most of my income from today.
What I made today
Job: $129
UpWork: $573.75
KDP: $0.05
Medium: <$0.00
Total: $702.75
Today’s pro-rated amount of monthly expenses
Expenses: $212
Today’s Income
$490
How I’m feeling today
Scared! It was a positive day, but that doesn’t change the fact I’m going to be very negative tomorrow. I still only have one month of cash in the bank
In other words, today’s positivity will be wiped out tomorrow. I need to do what I can to find another client on UpWork and make sure to deliver a fantastic experience so they stick around! Otherwise, I’m in more debt.
My plan for tomorrow
Tomorrow involves getting up earlier, finishing my eBook, and finding a new client on UpWork. I’m hopeful there will be something that comes across the UpWork job slate that looks interesting!
